When I was back in Iowa, my friend Jenna was home at the same time. Though we were not friends in college, we have become bloggy friends over the last year. Since she was only a short drive south of me in Robbins, we met at Culver’s in Hiawatha for ice cream on July 3rd.

Jenna and I are both small people, hovering just around 5′1″. In this shot, she looks taller than me. Not one to be defeated, I asserted she wasn’t. There was only one way to find out. Shoes off, we stood back-to-back on the Culver’s patio. I came in a tiny bit taller by a hair.
Scott tried to capture the measuring results on camera. But right after it was decided that I was taller, we burst into laughter. This was the result.

Let me tell you, especially after what this woman has been through lately, seeing Jenna laugh like that is worth more than all the scoops of custard on the planet. The drive to see her? So worth it.
she’s still taller in that photo
